Our Story
Kim LaBarge had dreamt of a non-profit organization that would bring the Upper Valley community together.
For many years, Kim LaBarge had talked about starting a non-profit that would bring the Upper Valley community together to support each other in a meaningful way. In August of 2021, she watched a neighbor and friend as they struggled emotionally and financially to secure a therapy for their son. They had to relocated temporarily, the family spending the next two months divided between the Upper Valley and the therapy center just south of Boston. The financial burden this year had been especially hard to manage because needing a new van to care for their wheelchair-bound son in addition to the uninsured therapy. Kim decided to drum up help and started reaching out to community members. Today, the team of board members and volunteers, along with the community at large, are working to support this family through their very first fundraiser, Golfing for the Green.

We see an Upper Valley community which comes together to support others through fundraising; where access to medicine which improves quality of life isn’t determined by whether it is insured or not.
